Court Today | Update

I had court today. My abuser was there.

I had court today. I had been meeting with my attorney and planning today down to a T. Today was going to be the prove-up, which means I would state my case and the judge would likely rule in our favor. We were not planning on my abuser being there. He has ignored every step of this process, which is why today was going to be the prove-up. But he showed up, and that was…I was very anxious at first. We had court via Zoom, which I’m so thankful for because I was able to mute myself and deal with the frog in my throat silently. My abuser was there. I heard his voice. I didn’t see his face because he had his camera off the whole time (even after the judge asked him to turn it on several times). Yeah, he’s an idiot. My attorney called me after (I’ll get into that more in a minute) but she said the judge did nooooot like my abuser. She was apparently making notes as he spoke. My attorney said my abuser is such an obvious liar, everything he says is a lie, and the thing is that he’s bad at lying.

[I’m running out the door to go to work right now but I’ll update this more when I get home. He’s an idiot, which we’ve known.]

My abuser has flown under the radar for 10+ years, avoiding being caught or called to task for all the horrific things he has done and harm he has caused to others. But then he met me, and I am the end. This is the end for him. He will no longer get away with his harm and abuse. He met me, he has met the end. I will never stop sharing the truth. I will spend my life sharing the truth, using it to help others, to educate others. He met the end. He will never again fly under the radar. The world knows the truth, his truth, his awful, awful truth. He will never escape this. He will never escape his truth. Because he met me, the end. The end. I am his end.
